B2B dealer beats more than 20 other Centre of Excellence rivals to the award after coming top for the operator’s quarterly league tables

Active Business Communications has been named as O2’s ‘Business Partner of the Year’ for 2013, beating 21 other Centre of Excellence dealers to the prize.

The Stockport-based B2B company picked up the award at operator’s annual Partner Conference, which took place at the Park Plaza Riverbank in London on January 30.

O2 head of partner sales Jason Phillips (pictured left) and O2 business director Ben Dowd (pictured right) presented Active managing director Mark Boyle (pictured centre) with the award.

Active said it came top for overall performance in O2’s quarterly league tables and that over the past 10 years, it has achieved year-on-year connection growth of above 20 per cent, a trend it plans to maintain. It declined to provide figures to back up these claims.

As well as mobile, the company offers fixed line, telematics, IT, telephone systems and broadband products and services.

Active Business Communications managing director Mark Boyle said: “To be recognised by O2 as their leading business partner in the UK is a huge achievement.

“This award positions us firmly as one of the leading communications companies in the UK and we look forward to building on this success further in 2014,”
