Voting for the 2014 Mobile News Personality of the Year Award continues to gather pace as Lycamobile chief Subaskaran Allirajah retakes top-spot after surge in overnight votes.

The race to make the top 10 Mobile News ‘Personality of the year” shortlist continues to gather pace, following a surge in voting which saw three different names occupy top spot in the past week. MNA14-personality-vote-now-1000px

The week begun with Lebara Mobile chief Ratheesh Yoganathan heading up our poll with a clear and seemingly unassailable lead.

However, as the battle to make the top-10, and the chance to compete for the title at the Mobile News Awards on March 13 at the Hilton on Park Lane hots up, Yoganathan has since dropped to third, behind   Exertis Micro P’s Gerry O’Keeffe (who held top-spot midweek), and now current leader and rival Lycamobile Mobile’s chief Subaskaran Allirajah.

Nokia’s Conor Pierce was the weeks other big mover, leaping from eighth midweek to currently fourth after some serious backing in the past 24 hours. Data Select MD Roy Taylor has also come from nowhere to occupy that 10th and final spot as the expense of Carphone Warehouse Business head Bob Sweetlove who drops to 11th.

Still all to play for

Table availability

A small number of tables for the event, which is hosted by TV star and top stand-up comedian Greg Davies, are still available. Would be a shame for the winner to find out by text rather than accepting on stage before close to 1000 of your fellow professionals.
