Matt Ward, who spent 14 years with Vodafone, will now fill a newly-created role at Three
Three has appointed Matt Ward to fill the newly-created role of head of wholesale partner management.
Ward joins from Vodafone, where he spent 14 years in several roles including, most recently, senior business manager. Under this role he was responsible for maintaining MVNO (multi-virtual network operator) partnerships such as with Lebara Mobile and delivering profitable voice revenues.
He also held roles in Vodafone’s consumer and enterprise divisions.
At Three Ward will be responsible for managing new and existing wholesale partners and products.
Three said the appointment is linked to its ambition to “significantly” grow its wholesale division. It recently signed a deal with Swedish MVNE (mobile virtual network enabler) Fogg Mobile to launch tablets, notebooks and Chromebooks on Three’s 3G network.
