Revenue for January slumped from NT$9.67 billion in January to NT$7.2 billion last month, as well as declining NT$4.2 billion from a year ago
HTC’s struggles continued last month after it reported revenues of NT$7.2 billion (£142.4 million) – down from NT$9.67 billion (£191 million) in January and $11.4 billion (£225 million) in February 2013.
It meant revenue for January and February combined was NT$16.9 billion (£333.9 million), which was down by NT$10 billion (£197.6 million) from the same two month period a year ago.
Last month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the manufacturer announced the mid-range Desire 610 and 816 (pictured).
It followed HTC EMEA president Philip Blair setting a target of more than trebling the manufacturer’s UK market share from three to 10 per cent before the end of the year.
