Customers signing up this month will receive 500 UK minutes, unlimited texts and 4G data with a £12 top-up

Ethnic MVNO Lycamobile has launched its 4G service in the UK. It is available in the areas its operator partner O2 has so far launched the faster speeds in.

O2 went live with its 4G network on August 29. It now reaches more than 19 million people across 16 cities and over 160 towns, with 32 per cent of the UK population covered.

All Lycamobile customers with a compatible 4G handset can use the service. Those signing up this month will receive 500 UK minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited 4G data with a £12 top-up.

Existing Lycamobile customers need to text 11244 to 3535 to activate this plan.

Lycamobile chairman Subaskaran Allirajah (pictured) said the company was “committed to keeping family and friends better connected”.
