Firm to provide 4G coverage on-site and sell portable charger providing up to 5 hours of charge time to festival goers
EE has confirmed it will be the official technology and communications partner for Glastonbury 2014 and will deploy a bespoke 4G network onsite.
The operator has introduced a new EE Festival Power Bar for this years festival which provides five hours of portable charging for festival goers and is available to purchase in advance for £20. A limited number will also be available at the festival.
At the festival, attendees can replace the ‘Power Bar’ for a fully charged one via the EE Exchange Cabin. The cabin will be placed beside the traditional recharge tent which has hundreds of chargers in place for revellers.
EE will also work with Glastonbury on the official 2014 app that will provide information on-site all weekend.
