Dean replaces Goldsmith in sales head role at EE

Former O2 executive charged with ensuring deeper business relationships and strengthening EE’s presence in vertical markets

EE has appointed Nigel Dean as head of indirect business sales. He replaces Darren Goldsmith, who left the company in December after seven years, including time at Orange, to join broadcaster Sky.

The operator said Dean (pictured) will have a particular focus on ensuring deeper, more strategic business partnerships, as well as strengthening EE’s presence in vertical markets.

He joins from communications provider Resilient Networks, where he was head of business development for a year. His role was centred around the public sector, with a particular focus on the health space.

Prior to that, Dean spent more than seven years at O2, from March 2002 until November 2009, where he was head of sales development for business partners, head of interactive sales, head of innovation business development and corporate sales and, lastly, head of health sector development.

EE director of indirect partnerships Noel Hamill said: “The indirect space has been through an enormous amount of change recently, and Nigel has all the right experience to help EE be hugely successful by developing in depth, quality partnerships in this market.”
