Offer available to new 4G customers signing up from July as high-speed coverage reaches 233 large towns and cities
Vodafone has bolstered its 4G content offering by signing an exclusive mobile partnership with Netflix.
From July, customers taking a Vodafone red plan costing at least £26 per month will be able to choose between the TV streaming service, Sky Sports Mobile or Spotify’s music service. The offer is not available to customers currently on one of Vodafone’s content packages.
All the major networks are reporting that 4G has led to an explosion in data consumption among consumers and content packages are seen as a good way of encouraging this increased usage.
Vodafone also revealed that its 4G service was now available in 233 larger towns and cities across the UK, as well as a ‘hundreds’ of smaller communities. Its £1 billion Project Sprint investment plan will see it beef up its UK network capabilities across its 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
