Former Oasis Stores and Tie Rack executive to replace Lowery, who has led O2’s retail store business since August 2012
O2 head of stores Bridget Lea is to replace Crispin Lowery as UK general manager when he leaves the operator next month. Lea will report to sales and service director Feilim Mackie.
An O2 spokesperson confirmed the changes, adding Lea (pictured) will continue to drive the operator’s store strategy. Currently, O2 has more than 460 stores across the UK – 290 of which are direct.
Lea, had been retail operations director at Oasis Stores for almost four years. She had also been UK, Ireland and US managing director at Tie Rack for more than two years and was regional controller for Topshop and Topman at Arcadia Group for four years.
Lowery has led a £19 million store overhaul programme at O2, which began at the end of last year and is due to last for 18 months. He had joined from Apple in August 2012, where he headed up its retail stores in the UK for more than three-and-a-half years. Prior to that, we was retail stores director at Nike for two years.
