KAZAM signs with Phones 4u for first UK retail deal

Trooper X3.5 and Life B4 handsets now on sale at retailer from£11 a month on contract

KAZAM has signed a deal with Phones 4u to stock its Trooper X3.5 and Life B4 devices. It is the manufacturer’s first UK high street retail deal since its launch last year.

Both are available on contract from £11 a month, with the former costing £39.95 and the latter £24.95 on prepay.

The Trooper X3.5 (pictured) is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. It has a 3.5-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel rear and VGA front camera and 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded by 32GB with a microSD card.

The Life B4 features both a 2.2-inch screen and QWERTY keyboard, as well as a VGA camera, expandable memory of 16GB, torch, three speed dial buttons and an SOS button to contact chosen people immediately in an emergency.

KAZAM VP of UK sales Rakesh Odedra said: “Today’s announcement proves that KAZAM is making headway in the UK market. This is the first of many UK retail deals expected & follows the European-wide success KAZAM has already achieved with major partners.”

The announcement comes after KAZAM chief marketing officer James Atkins told Mobile News in February the company would announce its first major UK mobile operators and retailers in “weeks rather than months.”
