Former CEO of Hong Kong operator CSL and industry veteran to oversee company’s UK enterprise business
Vodafone has appointed Phil Mottram as its UK enterprise director. He will assume responsibility for its enterprise operations, reporting to UK chief executive Jeroen Hoencamp.
He replaces Mark Allinson, who had held the role on an interim basis since November. Hoencamp, who had previously held the role, was promoted to CEO following the departure of Guy Laurence in November.
Allinsson will take up the new position of group enterprise marketing director on July 1, reporting to Cable and Wireless Worldwide chief executive Nick Jeffrey. Until then, he maintains his position as CWW integration director.
Mottram joins from Hong Kong mobile operator CSL where he was CEO for two years. Previously, he was executive director of global sales at Telsta International for two years, BT Trading Systems MD for more than seven years and European sales director at Sprint for three years.
“I watched the acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide with interest and feel it is a real game changer for Vodafone as we can now offer our customers fixed, mobile and unified services, with bonded 4G,” said Mottram, “which will help them to develop new revenue streams, new business models and deliver a better customer experience.”
Hoencamp added: “Phil will add great value as a member of the UK senior management team given his outstanding track record of building enterprise businesses here in the UK and globally.”
