Phones 4u has landed an exclusive deal to sell the Moto G with 4G in white until the end of July
The retailer is also the first retailer to market with the handset, which is also available in black, offering it in selected stores, online and via phone from today.
The Moto G has a 4.5-inch screen, five megapixel camera and runs the latest version of the Android operating system. Its first iteration offered only 3G connectivity but it still went on to become the UK’s best selling handset over the Christmas period.
Kantar research released earlier this year claimed that the Moto G had given the firm a 6 per cent share of the UK smartphone market. This was from a starting point of zero, just a few months previously.
4G connectivity was added alongside the launch of the budget Moto E in May. The handset is available for £149.95 (plus £10 top-up) or for £159.95 SIM-free.
Google agreed a deal to sell Motorola to Chinese manufacturer Lenovo earlier this year for £1.7 billion.
