Samsung adds three smartphones to Galaxy line


Core 2, Trend 2 and Young 2 will be available at an affordable price when they are released, says manufacturer  

Samsung has added three new smartphones to its Galaxy Line in the UK with the Trend 2, Core 2 and Young 2. Availability will be announced in due course.

All devices will run the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence user interface, which sits on top of the OS.

The Core 2 (pictured left) is the most powerful of the trio with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It has a 4.5-inch touchscreen, five megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera, 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded by 64GB with a micro SD card. It will come in black and white.

The Trend 2 (pictured right) is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and has a four-inch touchscreen. It has a five megapixel rear camera with a front VGA camera with flash and 1,500mAh battery.

The Young 2 is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, three megapixel camera and 1,300mAh battery.

Both will be available in charcoal and white.They will also both include 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. This can be expanded by up to 32GB with a microSD card on the Young 2, with external memory doubled on the Trend 2.
