Digital payment company Skrill have appointed David Sear in their newly created role as chief commercial officer.
Sear joins the company after leaving his position as chief executive of Weve, the joint venture in mobile marketing between Vodafone, EE and O2, who he has been with since 2013.
On his new role, David Sear said: “Skrill Group is very well positioned to benefit from the developing landscape of online payments. I am looking forward to working with the Skrill Group management to deliver growth and value to the organisation, and create new opportunities for businesses and individuals in the ever-evolving payments sector.”
Sear will start the role, which is London based, in August. It will involve overseeing all commercial operations across the group, including Skrill, paysafeguard and payolution.
