O2 launches exclusive £10 4G tariff for the public sector

Customers will receive either a Nokia Lumia 635 or Samsung Galaxy S3, along with unlimited minutes, texts and up to 5GB of data

O2 has launched its ‘No. 10’ 4G tariff, exclusively for the public sector and third sector organisations.

It costs £10 a month and provides customers with wither the 4G-enabled Nokia Lumia 635 or Samsung Galaxy S3, unlimited minutes, texts and up to 5GB of data.

Customers on the tariff will be supported with a fully verified data-wipe of existing handsets and the ability to recycle all old devices through O2 Recycle.

The operator said the launch marks its commitment to provide the public sect0r with the best value and service in the UK, following confirmation in May that it is the first mobile network to achieve the government-approved network certification CAS (T). It is aimed at providing assurance to public sector customers that O2’s network is robust and secure.

O2 public sector business managing director Billy D’Arcy (pictured) said: “We recognise the increasing pressure on the public and third sectors to save money and increase productivity, and the No. 10 proposition has been built to respond to these exact two things.”
