Full Cover for £10  month and Damage Cover for £6.50 a month, designed to minimise the stress of losing or breaking a device

EE has launched two new mobile insurance plans, priced at £10 and £6.50 a month.

‘Full Cover’ costs £10 a month and provides customers cover against loss, theft or damage, with a claims process that includes a same day or next day replacement.

Those choosing this plan will also benefit from exclusive discounts of up to 50 per cent off upgrade fees mid-contract. In addition, those using an Android handset will also receive a free subscription to the premium version of Lookout Mobile Security, which is available as a download from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

The premium product costs £1.99 a month or £19.99 a year, with three devices managed from one account. Users can backup files and data to their www.lookout.com account, remotely wipe the device when it is lost or stolen, capture its location online and will also be sent ‘Theft Alerts’ to their account if Lookout notices behaviour that a device may be stolen, such as the removal of a SIM card.

Alternatively, EE’s ‘Damage Cover’ plan costs £6.50 a month and provides customers with a replacement phone if their own is accidentally damaged, with claims fulfilled the same or next day.

EE head of mobile insurance products Kate Horler said: “We’ve evolved our insurance packages to help minimise the disruption this causes and provide even greater piece of mind and exclusive benefits to our customers.”
