Operator holds onto top spot in UK-wide performance testing by RootMetrics
EE has held onto top spot in RootMetrics mid-year performance, topping all categories in the mobile performance test.
Vodafone lagged behind, achieving the wooden spoon in all bar one of the tests except for call quality, where Three was bottom, although this was a rare black mark in an excellent performance from Three.
It came second to EE in most categories and was even jointly named best overall network with EE in Northern Ireland and Scotland. O2 came third in most categories.
RootMetrics collected more than 920,000 test samples in the first six months of the year, driving more than 25,000 miles and testing at 1,200 indoor locations. It test across every country within the UK and within the 16 largest urban areas.
