Enhanced feature set for latest Doro phone targeted at ‘seniors’ market
Doro has expanded its range of 3G feature phones with the release of the Doro PhoneEasy 624.
It joins the Doro PhoneEasy 612 and 508 in its feature phone range targeted at the ‘seniors’ market with the manufacturer claiming the bright red phone was in response to demand for more stylish design in this segment.
It has a 2MP camera with video, ‘well-spaced’ and backlit keys, HD sound and content and settings can be managed and backed up via the cloud using the My Doro Manager service.
“Our ongoing research shows that seniors still demand feature phones and in response our focus on this important audience group will not diminish,” said Doro UK and Ireland managing director Chris Millington.
“We continue to see impressive growth in our feature phone business despite a shift towards smartphones overall in the mobile market. We continue to innovate and drive new products into all sectors of the senior market as it evolves further – thus creating new commercial opportunities illustrated by this beautiful device.”
The firm has also added a location-based weather forecase to the home screen which will retail for £130 from Boots and the Royal National Insitiute for the Blind.
Doro’s products are available in more than 30 countries. It reported net sales of €128.9 million (£102.4 million) in 2013.
