Windows Phone is edging towards double digit OS sales share in the UK, currently holding 9.9 per cent.
This is according to the latest figures from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech for the three months ending July 31, 2014.
Windows Phone has seen its OS sales share increase from 9.6 per cent for the three months ending June 30, and is up by 2.8 per cent year-on-year.
Android remains the dominant platform in the UK with 59.5 per cent of the market – down 1.1 per cent from the previous three month period but up 2.5 per cent from a year ago.
iOS saw its share rise marginally by 0.1 per cent from the last measure but was down 0.8 per cent from the three months ending June 30, 2013.
For the three months ending June 30, BlackBerry’s OS sales share slipped below one per cent and was classed in ‘Other’. This remains the case, with the category accounting for 1.9 per cent of the market, down 4.7 per cent year-on-year.
