Manufacturer’s first smartphone in a year now available in the UK, with BlackBerry opening a ‘shop in shop’ within the department store chain’s ‘Technology’ hall
The BlackBerry Passport has today gone on sale at Selfridges, priced at £529.95 SIM-free.
It will also be made available at Carphone Warehouse tomorrow, with all major retailers and mobile operators expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The BlackBerry Passport – the manufacturer’s first smartphone since the release of the Z30 in October 2013, was unveiled at a launch event held in London yesterday afternoon.
In line with its release, BlackBerry is for the first time opening a ‘shop in shop’ within the ‘Technology’ hall of the Selfridges store on Oxford Street, which will showcase and sell BlackBerry smartphones, tablets and accessories.
Selfridges Technology head buyer Richard Jones said: “With the newly opened ‘shop in shop’ at Selfridges Oxford Street, this truly marks a new and exciting era in the BlackBerry story. We have long supported BlackBerry launches in the UK, and feel this is an exciting step with the brand.”
