Lumia 830 goes on sale at retailers in the UK


Latest handset running Windows Phone 8.1 available on contract for £24 a month from EE, Vodafone, Dixons Carphone Group, Tesco and Amazon

Microsoft Devices has released its Lumia 830 smartphone in the UK.

It is available from £24.99 on contract from EE, Vodafone, Dixons Carphone Group, Tesco and Amazon, coming in black, white, bright orange and bright green.

The Lumia 830 is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and runs the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, which features new features including voice-activated personal assistant Cortana.

It has a five-inch touchscreen and 10-megapixel camera with PureView imaging technology, Lumia’s thinnest optical image stabilisation system to date, multi-mic recording and built-in wireless charging.

Software from the technology giant also comes pre-loaded, such as Office with Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
