Manufacturer refutes claims from sources close to it that its VP of European Enterprise Business is set to leave the business
Samsung has denied increasing industry speculation that its vice president of European Enterprise Business Rob Orr is set to leave the manufacturer.
Sources close to Samsung last week told Mobile News the former BlackBerry UK and Ireland managing director had departed after just 15 months.
Orr (pictured) took over the running of the manufacturer’s UK mobile division in June following the departure of Simon Stanford, who had led operations for five years. Orr returned to his European role after just three months.
However, a Samsung spokesperson denied the industry speculation, and maintained the same stance as when Orr returned to his previous position.
“Following a business review of the UK and IT mobile division, Rob Orr will be making a scheduled return to his role in the Samsung European team as vice president of Enterprise Business at Samsung Electronics.”
