Device only available on Three network whilst EE and Three will both sell the HTC RE connected camera
The new HTC Desire Eye phone will be available on Three as the operator announced an agreement to become the exclusive UK operator to sell the device.
The handset comes with two 13 megapixel cameras – one on the back and a front-facing ‘selfie’ snapper as well – and will be available in November.
The network will also stock the new HTC WiFi connected camera. The RE by HTC costs £169 and can connect with Android devices and iPhones.
Three head of devices Sylvia Chind, said: “We are delighted that Three is the exclusive operator partner for the HTC Desire Eye in the UK. The new Re camera opens up a new world of creative opportunity and by utilising the many editing and upload features, our customers can share their videos and photos effortlessly across our reliable network.”
EE director of devices and added value products Sharon Meadows said: “People are sharing content more than ever from their mobile devices, and sharing high definition video and images demands the biggest and fastest mobile network. The combination of a powerful connected camera like the stunning RE by HTC and our superfast 4GEE network means that customers will be able to share their experiences in new and exciting ways.”
