Stanford set for return as MOJO Maker boss

Former Samsung UK and Ireland mobile and IT head to help drive sales of company’s handsets into retailers and operators

Simon Stanford is set to make a shock move to original device manufacturer (ODM) MOJO Maker as managing director.

Mobile News understands Stanford (pictured) is joining the company to help drive sales of its handsets into UK and European mobile operators and retailers.

The ODM has been without a managing director since founder Caroline Preston stepped down to the role of global sales and marketing director two years ago.

Stanford left Samsung, where he was UK and Ireland vice president for mobile and IT, in June after five years. He had joined the manufacturer from O2 in 2009, where he was head of connected markets for almost seven years.

MOJO Maker declined to comment, while Stanford was unavailable as Mobile News went to press.
