Andrew Lowe left Vodafone to oversee B2B expansion as UK sales director at Truphone
MVNO Truphone has appointed Andy Lowe as its new UK sales director as it continues to target rapid expansion across the UK B2B market and staunch its losses, which were £91.5 million last year.
Lowe joins Truphone having previously led sales programmes for several global telecoms players including Vodafone, Orange and Verizon.
His last role was working as head of mid-market enterprise at Vodafone UK. He also previously worked as Vodafone channel head of key accounts for 10 months.
Truphone received a £70 million investment from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich last year. It is available to businesses and also offers a VoIP service called Tru App which allows users to make calls and instant message over the internet via their mobile device.
Lowe said: “I am delighted to be spearheading the Truphone sales team at this incredibly exciting juncture. Businesses are hungry for a mobile service that will help them expand globally in a competitive international market, and Truphone offers this through its ability to deliver a world class network with an unparalleled customer support experience.”
