Cooke joins following six years at Microsoft with responsibility for ‘invigorating’ the Exertis brand across the Uk and Europe
Distributor Exertis has appointed ex-Microsoft employee Fiona Cooke to the newly created role of marketing director.
She joins having spent six years at the tech giant most recently as EMEA sales lead, retail sales lead and marketing. Prior to that she was in the position of UK OEM sales manager, distribution and reseller channel.
Cooke will have repsonsibility for “invigorating” and boosting awareness of the Exertis brand across the UK and Europe. She will lead marketing strategy across all of the company’s divisions.
“Fiona’s channel knowledge, marketing experience and track record of success, combined with her enthusiasm for achieving exceptional results, makes her an asset to an already capable marketing team,” said Exertis managing director UK and Ireland Gerry O’Keeffe . “It will benefit from both her vision and wealth of channel knowledge which will be invaluable as we pursue our strategy to grow Exertis into new markets and territories.”
Cooke’s channel knowledge also includes almost four years as marketing manager at Tech Data UK/Computer 2000, which she joined in 2002.
