Five new keynotes added to annual mobile phone trade show taking place in Barcelona in March, with speakers from the GSMA, Huawei and Visa also presenting
Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg has been added to the list of keynote speakers for Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.
He is one of four new speakers announced by the GSMA, with the others being Qualcomm CEO Steve Mollenkopf, SAP CEO Bill McDermott, ARM CEO Simon Segars and Micromax Informatics chairman Sanjay Kapoor.
They join a list of 14 speakers previously announced for the annual mobile phone trade show taking place at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from March 2-5, including GSMA director general Anne Bouverot, Huawei deputy chairman and rotating CEO Ken Hu and Visa CEO Charles Scharf.
GSMA chief marketing officer Michael O’Hara said: “The breadth of companies represented in the Mobile World Congress keynote programme underscores the transformative impact that mobile is having across a wide range of industry sectors.
“We have an outstanding roster of CEOs set to take the stage in Barcelona in March, offering attendees new insights and perspectives into the developments that are shaping mobile today and well into the future.”
In addition, the nomination for the 20th annual Global Mobile Awards has been extended by one week and will now close on December 12. Nominations for two special awards, the ‘Young Mobile Innovator of the Year’ and Connected Women: Leadership in the Industry’ awards will be open until January 15. Winners will be announced at MWC on March 3.
