Littlefair leaves operator after seven years to join insurance firm Aviva
Vodafone Group has confirmed that its global chief information security officer Bryan Littlefair will depart the network at the end of February after seven years in the role.
Littlefair, who joined Vodafone from BT in January 2008, is leaving to become global chief information security officer (CISO) for insurance provider Aviva who he will join in March.
“I have really enjoyed my time at Vodafone, “ said Littlefair in a statement. “The security organisation has transformed over my tenure and I have made some great successes through having an excellent team focused on operational uplift and change. I’m looking forward to my next challenge at Aviva.”
During his time at vodafone, Littlefair oversaw all IT and network related information security activity, including setting global strategy for managing operations in 63 countries.
He had also previously worked as a global technical consultant for Verizon subsidiary Worldcom, which became MCI Inc from 1999 until 2004, when he joined BT as global VP of security research and development.
Vodafone Group confirmed the departure and said Littlefair will be replaced in due course, however the operator declined to comment further.
