Apple’s iPhone 6 and the LG G3 have been named as joint winners of the GSMA Global Mobile Awards 2015 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The awards were presented by Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star John Cleese at an event in Barcelona earlier today (March 3).
The iPhone 6 was released in September and helped boost Apple’s sales to record numbers, according to the manufacturer.
The judges said: “With all round improvements, from designs, to specs, to functionality yet remaining true to the core the iPhone 6 proposition offers unparalleled performance and unmatched consumer success”.
The LG G3 was also commended at the awards, with judges praising the G3 for being easy to use whilst still providing excellent specs, including a 5.5 inch qHD screen and 14MP camera.
Commending the G3, the judges said: “Affordable excellence with winning design – its edge-to-edge screen offers the best quality mobile viewing experience around today.”
