O2 is taking pre-registration on the Microsoft Band

Microsoft’s first wearable health Band comes with 10 integrated sensors & will go on sale in UK on April 15

O2 has announced that it is now taking pre-registration on the Microsoft which will go on sale in the UK from April 15.

The operator claims it is the first UK network to stock the Band, which is Microsoft’s first entry in to the wearables space.

The Band, which was announced by the US-based manufacturer at the end of October, comes with a 24 hour heart rate monitor, sleep tracking and guided workouts.

It has 10 integrated sensors and has been branded the “most flexible band” on the market by Microsoft. It is cross-platform, meaning it works with iOS, Android and Windows.

O2 is also offering customers a cash payment if they choose to recycle an old wearable device through O2 recycle. O2 gave the example of a Sony Smartwatch 3, which would return a cash payment of up to £40. O2 did not disclose prices for the Microsoft Band, but it was released in the US in October costing $199 (£125).
