Device to be available at all mobile operators and major retailers over the coming days
HTC has expanded its One smartphone product line with the launch of the M8s. Like the handsets before it in the line, it is cased in a curved metal-bodied casing.
The One M8s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octo-core processor and runs the Android Lollipop 5.0 OS, with its own HTC Sense 6.0 software sitting on top.
It has a five-inch full HD touchscreen, with a 13 megapixel rear and five megapixel front camera, both of which come with HD video recording capabilities.
HTC Boomsound also features, providing users with two front-facing speakers for enhanced audio, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage built-in, the last of which can be expanded by 128GB with a microSD card.
Other features include Motion Launch, which for example enables users to answer a call by lifting the smartphone to their ear, as well as HTC Switch, a service to easily and quickly enable users to transfer all content and information from another Android or phone or iPhone.
The HTC One M8s will initially be available in ‘Gunmetal Grey’ at all major UK mobile operators and retailers in the coming days.
It follows the manufacturer’s new flagship smartphone, the One M9, which was announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February and went on sale in the UK on Tuesday (March 31).
