HTC’s revenues jump by 17.9 per cent in Q1 2015

Revenues increase by almost a fifth as company records a small profit

HTC posted a year-on-year increase in its quarterly revenues of 17.9 per cent to £1.03 billion for the three months ending March 31.

This figure compared favourably with the £893 million it posted for the same period last year as it turned a net loss of £40 million last year into a profit of £7.7 million.

The results come as the company released the HTC One M9 this week which it hopes will help it build on the progress it made on its UK marketshare in the past 12 months.

According to the latest figures from Kantar Worldpanel Comtech it increased its UK marketshare from 3.3 per cent to 5.5 per cent in the 12 months ending February 2015.
