New flagship from Microsoft amongst first devices to come with WiFi calling
EE has began stocking the new Microsoft Lumia 640 flagship for pre-paid and contract customers.
The device comes with a 5.0 inch LCD touchscreen, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor and 8GB of internal storage plus room for a microSD card up to 128GB.
It runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 and, along with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 range, is one of the first devices to feature EE’s WiFi Calling.
Last month, the operator launched its own Harrier range of WiFi Calling enabled handsets.
It is available for free on 4G tariffs starting at £16.99 per month, which gives 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.
EE has the UK exclusive of the Cyan version of the handset.
