Mazuma reaches 100,000 reviews on Trustpilot

Recycler has a 98 per cent positive score rate on consumer review website since listing with it in 2010, claiming it confirms its status as one of the most trustworthy brands in the UK

Mazuma Mobile has received its 100,000 review on consumer review website Trustpilot, which it said cements its position as one of the most trusted brands in the UK.

The Watford-based company has been listed on Trustpilot since 2010, with a 98 per cent positive review rate. Hitting the 100,000 reviews landmark equates to an average of 55 reviews a day, or more than two reviews every hour.

Since its establishment in 2006, Mazuma has re-homed more than five million mobile phones and paid more than £218 million to consumers.

It said its marketing team closely analyses both positive and negative consumer messages on all its channels in order to improve its business practices and customer service.

Mazuma CEO and co-founder Charlo Carabott (pictured) said: “In the days when we were relatively unknown, it was quite a daunting process for consumers to send in their phones to us and rely on our word that we would pay them. Consumers needed to have faith in us. We recognised early on that reviews were going to play a really important role in growing our business.

“Our excellent rating confirms we are one of the most trustworthy brands in the UK and reflects our commitment and tireless efforts to deliver on all our promises. Trustpilot has been a useful tool in helping us manage feedback directly within a neutral space.”

Trustpilot’s report for 2014 showed that 68 per cent of consumers trust companies when they see both positive and negative reviews rather than just positive ones.
