Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Sony Mobile Communications has signed a new three-year deal as Official Partners of the UEFA Champions League.
The agreement, which runs until the end of the 21018 season, will enable PlayStation and Sony Mobile extensive rights to matches, pre-match training sessions, media, hospitality and events including the final, as well as the exclusive digital partnership on UEFA.com.
It will include the Super Cup 2015, 2016 and 2017, as well as the Women’s Champions League final and Youth League finals.
The duo join Heineken and Nissan as the third official partner for the 105-1018 cycle, alongside Adidas, which is the official supplier partner.
Sony Mobile chief commercial officer Dennis van Schie said the “prestigious global platform” will enable it to reach new audiences and privde them with “truly engaging and immersive mobile experiences”.
UEFA Events SA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein added: “We will continue to work closely with PlayStation but we now also welcome Sony Xperia into the partnership. This will enable ground-breaking entertainment to bring excitement to fans around the world through the UEFA Champions League relationship.”
