Former HTC boss joins Tech21 as global marketing director


Colin Woodward joins as accessories-maker rises from 18th in Sunday Times fastest-growing private tech firms to fifth

Protective case manufacturer Tech21 has appointed a new global marketing director and a new business development director to oversee its next phase of growth.

New marketing director Colin Woodward has spent more than 15 years in the industry. He previously worked as director of planning, marketing and execution (EMEA) for HTC, and before that held various roles with Sony from 2000 until 2012.

Former Tech21 head of marketing Giles Tongue will also start a new role as business development director.

Tech21 also announced that it had been named the fifth fastest-growing privately owned tech firm in 2014 by the Sunday Times, up from 18th the previous year.

It has also been listed in the SME Export Track list by the same publication.
