AKJ rebrands as Aurora for ‘new beginning’


Company also rebrands its billing software as the Affinity Software Suite 

Telecoms billing software provider, Aurora Kendrick James, has rebranded as Aurora to signal the “new beginnings” of the brand.

The company, which was acquired by IT solutions provider Alternative Networks in 2009, has also launched a new logo and a new website as part of its efforts to grow the business. It continues to operate as a standalone company.

The company says the changes are designed to meet changing industry needs which means that seven in ten of its customers bill more than one product. Its software can bill a number of products including fixed-line, mobile, cloud, data and utilities.

“With the communications landscape and channel diversifying so significantly and rapidly, our services and software need to reflect these changes,” said managing director Derek Watson in a statement.

“No longer do our customers sell just one product; in fact 70% of our customers bill multiple products, so we think it’s crucial that we move in line with the industry, in order to secure the trust of our customers and maintain leadership within the channel and amongst our peers”.

The company has also rebranded its billing software to become the Affinity Software Suite and split it into six areas. These are: Affinity Sales; Affinity Fulfilment; Affinity Billing; Affinity Finance; Affinity Online and Affinity Service.
