Hosted telecoms provider to significantly expand its reseller base

London-based hosted telecoms provider VIA wants to double revenues to £1 million this year by significantly expanding its reseller base.

The company focuses on supplying Skype for Business (previously Microsoft Lync) to clients under 1,000 seats.

It offers VoIP, messaging, video conferencing and other collaboration tools to the small business and enterprise market. It is a direct partner of Microsoft and Gamma.

VIA enhances the platform through its own private cloud to protect against downtime and real-time billing and user information through its own bespoke portal.

In just three years since its launch it has signed 2,500 seats and has more than 20 resellers including O2 Wholesale Partner 2circles.

Revenue growth

According to Synergy Research, revenues in the unified commu- nications collaboration market reached an all-time high in Q4 2014.

Cisco is the market leader with 16 per cent of the global market with Skype for Business narrowly behind on 13.5 per cent.

“We’ve been totally focused on growth and now we want to add to the reseller base,” said director Alex Tebbs. “Our portal is unique and we are offering some of the best rates on the market. We’ve just started working with Vision Express which is another potential 2.000 seats.”

The company is offering three reseller models with recurring revenues of up to 30 per cent for the partner if the reseller handles billing, sales and support. Twenty per cent is on offer if it handles sales and support and ten per cent for 12 months for referrals.

Resellers will also be able to sell all hardware to the business and manage the training for their client.

VIA has also announced that it is to open up an operations office in Nottingham. Its existing London site will be retained as a sales office.
