Huawei-owned brand promotes Nicola Philbin from in-house role following ten-year career
Honor has appointed Nicola Philbin to the newly created role of head of the UK and Ireland.
Philbin has spent more than a decade at parent company Huawei, most recently as head of a consumer business group which was responsible for its relationship with Three owner, Hutchison Whampoa in 12 international markets.
“Nicola has the experience and the vision to deliver on the Honor promise to our customers throughout the UK and Ireland,” said Honor Western Europe managing director Frank Yao.
Philbin takes up the position following the brand’s first ever UK network partnership with Three for its latest flagship handset, the Honor 6+.
The 5.5-inch Android-powered handset has dual 8MP rear cameras which offer 13MP images that capture double the amount of light and a further 8MP camera on the front.
The device, which costs £299 SIM-free, has a 3600mAh battery, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
