Slimmest and lightest tablet on the market to go on sale globally from next month; UK availability to be announced in due course
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S2, with the device coming in 9.7 and eight inch variants.

The tablet, which the manufacturer claims is the slimmest and lightest on the market, comes with a Super AMOLED touchscreen which it says delivers 94 per cent of natural tones to show true-to-life colours.
Elsewhere on the screen, Adjustive Display adjusts gamma, saturation and sharpness based on the application, while Reading Mode modifies the screen’s brightness to allow users to read content for longer periods without straining their eyes.
The Galaxy Tab S2 comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Solutions, including the ability to create and edit documents and comes with 100GB of OneDrive storage, free for two years.
It is also built with a fingerprint scanner for authentication and an advanced security sensor that offers access to the device with a press against the home key. Smart Manager displays the device’s settings automatically and offers a range of device management options, including battery power levels storage and RAM availability.
Both variants are 5.6mm thick and are powered by a quad 1.9GHz + 1.3GHz octocore processor, running the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. They both also have eight megapixel rear and 2.1megapixel front cameras and 3GB of RAM.
The eight inch version weighs 265g (WiFi) or 272g (LTE and comes with a 4,000mAh battery, while the larger model weighs 389 (WiFi) or 392g (LTE and has a 5,870mAh battery.
