Reseller partners will be able to offer Shire Leasing financing solutions alongside mobile products
Westcoast distribution has partnered with Shire Leasing to offer financial services to its mobile reseller base.
The IT distributor, who was recently named as one of the UK’s B2B distributors for the iPhone, said offering a leasing solution to resellers would allow them to reduce their credit risk and improve profits.
Westcoast head of mobile Darren Seward said: “Many business identify a lack of funding as a barrier to rolling out the best mobile solutions, so we are pleased to be working with Shire Leasing to support our resellers.
“Resellers can include most elements of the deal in the lease including the device, software and services. Shire Leasing’s online solution provides resellers with a completely automated system that covers everything from online approval to e-signature on leasing documents.”
The agreement is part of Westcoast’s plans for a stronger push in to the mobile space, as exclusively revealed by Mobile News.
Leasing solutions are becoming more common, with firms such as Lease Telecom offering leasing solutions to dealers.
According to figures from Shire Leasing, businesses on average spend around 35 per cent of their IT budgets on telecoms.
