HTC unveils Desire 626 smartphone


Successor to Desire 620 will be available at Carphone Warehouse, O2 and Three

HTC has unveiled the Desire 626 smartphone – the follow-up to the Desire 620 from last December.

It will come in white, blue, purple and grey, and will be available in retailers and operators including Carphone Warehouse, O2 and Three. Details on pricing and release date will be confirmed in due course.

The Desire 626 (pictured) is powered by a Snapdragon 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs the Android 5.1 operating system. HTC’s Sense UI runs on top of this, which enables users to customise the phone’s interface.

It has a 13 megapixel rear, five megapixel front camera and the ability to capture HD video, with users able to share clips with friends and family using the HTC Video Highlights feature.

Storage options range from 16GB of internal memory to a microSD slot that supports up to 512GB additional space. HTC BlinkFeed also comes included, providing users with accessed to their own personalised stream of online content.
