Customers get unlimited calls, texts and a data allowance for £4 per day in Eurozone countries, including 4G (where available)

EE have launched a new roaming bundle for pay-monthly customers that gives unlimited calls, texts and a data allowance in the Eurozone for £4 per day.

Euro Pass means customers travelling to Europe do not have to get a separate calls, text or data bundle when heading to the continent.

The offer is available to EE’s contract, SIM-only and small business customers.

Customers who are already on EE Extra plans already get free calls and texts in 39 destinations in Europe, but can now add a Euro Data Pass, which will give 100MB of data per day for a daily charge of £3.

4G data is also included for those countries where it is available, although customers who need more than the 100MB can get an additional 400MB of data free of charge but at a slower speed.

The data allowances are on top of customer’s home allowances, meaning they don’t cut in to monthly data bundles.

Customers can opt-in by texting EUROPASS or EURODATA to 150 either in the UK or while they are abroad. The bundle only activates once a customer uses their services while abroad.

EE’s roaming bundles include more than 40 destinations. For a full list, vist http://ee.co.uk/4gabroad

  1. AVOID…..

This is only a good add-on if you are an avid phone user whilst abroad.

Whilst in France recently I sent a total of 3 texts over 3 separate days. This automatically started the euro pass for those days and incurred a daily charge of £4.00 (usual text cost would have been 5.2 pence).

If you are only looking to use you phone occasionally then avoid this at all costs.

Charged £12 for three texts instead of 15.6 pence.

Called EE to complain and as usual they are less than helpful.

    Hope this helps somebody!!
