Campaign for Idol 3 flagship will run across TV, cinema, digital displays, online and social media
Alcatel OneTouch has launched its first above-the-line advertising campaign to support the UK launch of its Idol 3 flagship.
The “multi-million dollar” campaign will run in 40 countries across TV, cinema and online, but is the first Alcatel OneTouch has launched in the UK.
It is being managed by French advertising firm Ogilvy Paris and demonstrates the Idol 3, which is the most expensive smartphone Alcatel OneTouch has ever launched in the UK with an RRP of £159 for the 4.7 inch version and £199 for the 5.5 inch model.
The device was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress in March and comes with a full reversible operating system, which lets users pick up their phone quickly without having to check if its the right way up.
“We loved Geometry Global’s approach for our biggest media campaign ever because they made Idol 3 the hero of the campaign.” said Alcatel OneTouch chief marketing office Dan Dery. “The TV ad is shot like a music video and each scene highlights a different feature of the phone.”
It is available from Talk Mobile, Freeman’s Gratton and JD Williams, Amazon , and Sainsbury’s and Clove Tech as of the beginning of this month. It will also be available from Shop Direct but Alcatel Onetouch did not disclose when.
