Griffin appoints former Apple retail director to drive EMEIA growth

Neil Edwards to lead a new division to build the accessories manufacturer’s brand across Europe, Middle East, India and Asia

Griffin Technology has appointed former Apple retail director Neil Edwards as managing director for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).

He will head up the newly formed division in Milton Keynes. Griffin is yet to confirm how many people will be part of this team. The accessories manufacturer said this will support the existing sales team to expand the business and prioritise international customers in EMEIA.

Prior to joining Griffin, Edwards (pictured) spent eight years at Apple, helping to drive its retail business from four stores in the UK to over 100 stores across eight European countries in his role as European commercial and visual merchandising director.

He will also be joined by newly appointed general manager for operations in EMEIA Ed Griffioen. He has been at the company for more than eight years and was most recently based at its global headquarters in Nashville, USA as its purchasing director for cases and soft goods.

Edwards said Griffin will unveil new products at IFA in Berlin next month as he looks to “build the brand in the UK and beyond”.

Griffin vice president of marketing Holly Hixson added: “We’re serious about growth in this area, and what better way to do it than setting up our new base to serve EMEIA and grow the brand globally.”
