Smartphone, the first from the newly-launched manufacturer, will cost £129 SIM-free
Wileyfox has announced its first smartphone, Swift, will go on sale throughout Europe from September 22 via www.wileyfox.com, priced at £129 SIM-free.
The device is powered by a quad-core processor and has a five inch HD touchscreen made from Corning Gorilla Glass, has 13 megapixel rear and five megapixel front cameras, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded by 32GB with a microSD card.
Swift runs the Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android Lollipop 12.1, which provides privacy control over data with shared apps, full UI customisation and the elimination of bloatware to free up storage space and processing power.
It comes with a removable 2,500mAh battery as well as ‘Audio FX’, which Wileyfox claims improves audio playback quality when listening to music and ‘LiveDisplay’, which it said adjusts the brightness and contrast of the screen, based on lighting conditions and time of day.
Other features include Protected Apps to keep selected apps out of sight in lockable folders on the home screen; PIN Scramble to randomise the numbers behind the device’s password; and Blocked Caller List to block incoming calls and texts from selected numbers.
