The handset has been on general sale in the US and China since July 2015
ZTE has announced the international release of its latest flagship handset, the Axon Elite.
The Chinese manufacturer made the announcement in Berlin at IFA 2015, Europe’s largest electronics trade show. The device has already been on general sale in China and the U.S from July 2015, but will be available in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific from September 24. UK pricing will start from £299.99 and the device will be available to purchase on online bidding website eBay.
ZTE CEO of Mobile Devices Adam Zeng said: “After two successful launches in the U.S. and China, we are delighted to continue the global rollout of Axon with this latest version for Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific. Axon is the start of big and bold things for ZTE, and we will continue to evolve our Axon flagship line to align with our global strategies.” ZTE also launched two other phones this year; the ZTE Blade S6 and the ZTE Blade D6.
The device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with an Adreno 430 GPU. It runs on MiFavour 3.2 OS, ZTE’s own version of the Android Lollipop operating system. The phone also comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen, a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 3,000mAh battery and 32GB of internal storage expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. Users can also unlock the phone using their fingerprint, voice command or eyes.
