Tablet comes with new A9x processor and comes with Smart Keyboard accessory and Apple Pencil Stylus
Apple has unveiled the latest addition to its line of iPads in front of 7,000 attendees at a launch event in California.
The iPad Pro comes with a 12.9 inch screen with more than five million pixels, according to the manufacturer.
It is powered by a 64 bit A9x processor that Apple claims is 1.8 times faster than the processor found on the iPad Air. Apple claimed it is faster than 80 per cent of the portable PCs that have shipped in the last 12 months.
Apple CEO Tim Cook called the device the “biggest thing to happen to iPad since iPad.”
It also has a range of accessories including a stylus, called the Apple Pencil, and a smart keyboard.
iPad Pro will ship from $799 for the 32GB version to $1079 for the 128GB version. The Apple Pencil will cost $99 while the smart case will cost $169.
The firm also launched an iPad Mini 4, with the same specs as the iPad Air, for $399.
