Vodafone spokesperson: “We welcome Ofcom’s announcement to commence the auctions this year. However, we also need to see Ofcom and the UK government support a pro-investment approach to infrastructure investment more broadly to ensure networks can be built out quickly and efficiently.”

Customers who sign up for selected bundles will get free access to TV streaming service for 12 months

Vodafone has extended its partnership with TV streaming Netflix in the UK.

The agreement means Vodafone customers taking out selected bundles will get free access to Netflix’s range of TV shows and movies for free for 12 months.

The offers are available online, in-store and through Vodafone telesales and launched on September 12 on Vodafone Red Value, SIM Only or Red + Sharer Bundles.

A Netflix subscription costs £7.49 per month and the package allows customers to watch Netflix on two screens, such as a smartphone, smart TV or tablet. Existing Netflix subscribers will have the amount credited to their account.

Vodafone UK consumer director Cindy Rose said, “ We are delighted to once again offer Netflix to our Red Value Bundle customers, as we had brilliant customer feedback from those who took Netflix as part of our previous partnership.

“Thanks to our partnership with Netflix and our strong and ever-expanding 4G network, our customers can be out and about and still catch-up with their favourite films or TV shows. Our 4G customers are using four times more data than those on 3G, which shows how popular services such as Netflix are with our 4G customers.”
