WiFi calling allows users with compatible phones to make calls or send texts through a WiFi signal, even when there’s no mobile signal available
Vodafone customers who own a Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge will be able to take advantage of the network’s WiFi Calling service in the Autumn.
The network’s WiFi calling service officially launched on September 11 and is currently only available to Pay Monthly Red, Red Value Bundle, Red+ or Business Premier customers with an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus. Vodafone didn’t give a specific date on when the service will be available on the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge.
As the name suggests, Wi-Fi calling allows users with compatible phones to make texts or calls through a WiFi connection, even when there’s no mobile signal available. EE and Three launched similar services earlier this year.
